Because we have worked in this field for over twenty years, we coordinate treatment with the most competent professionals throughout the Bay Area. Because we focus on children and adolescents, we are keenly aware of developmental issues and educational norms and expectations.
Often parents or professionals need the behavior of a child placed in context – is this normal, or should we intervene? The answer to this important question is common to our associates, but unique to every child. The dynamics of each family and the culture of each child's history must be considered as part of this context. Test data is combined with thoughtful analysis and a thorough collection of historical and collateral data.
Test data will be presented to parents and referring professionals using the PlusFour Report System. This report style provides comprehensive test data in a report format that is widely recognized as the leader in written and digital presentations. While many psychological reports are little more than lists of test data with poorly edited and dry narrative, the PlusFour Report System utilizes cutting edge technology to provide data with charts, graphs, digital photographs and the strategic use of color that creates a printed or digital document that is dynamic and highly informative.
 Finally, if a full battery of psychological testing is not called for, you will be told, and just those assessment procedures pertinent to your situation will be implemented. Indeed, if testing has recently been performed, or is not called for, we will not suggest that you commit the important resources of time and money to an evaluation that is not necessary. Instead, we will work with you to recommend the most appropriate next step for your student. We receive no financial consideration for the referral of a student or family to another professional or organization. We make referrals based on clinical necessity and best match of services to the needs of a child.
